Education:
Dr. Catherine McCray attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. In 1989, she received a degree in Journalism. She attended Hunter College, New York, NY and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS for premedical coursework. Dr. McCray received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, KS.
Residency:
She completed her residency in the Family Medicine Residency Program through the University of Missouri-Kansas City with an emphasis on obstetrics including cesarean section training.
Fellowship:
Today she is on staff at the Callaway Community Hospital and practices family medicine at the Fulton Medical Clinic
Certification:
Board certified in Family Practice, Dr. McCray’s professional interests include women’s health, obstetrics, pediatrics and patient education. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. While living in New York, she worked as a medical writer and editor before going back to school in 1993. She also worked for Contemporary OB/GYN magazine, and several consumer medical books including the Columbia University Home Medical Guide and the Yale Heart Book.
Biography:
Dr. McCray is married to a geography professor and has two sons. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and going on cross-country family driving vacations
